Alamance County’s 911 story began in December 1979, when Central Communications received its first 911 calls.

Those first calls included:

  1. A grass fire for the Graham Fire Department
  2. A police escort from the Bank of Alamance for the Graham Police Department
  3. A house fire for the Snow Camp Fire Department
  4. A sick call for Alamance County EMS
