The Family Justice Center is a secure place where victims of family violence can receive the support and assistance they need to be safe.
The Family Justice Center recognizes that anyone can be a victim of domestic violence. We offer services to victims of domestic violence at any age, female or male, who have experienced, or been threatened with, physical, sexual, psychological or emotional abuse.
The FJC is open for walk-in appointments Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Many of the partners at the Center provide 24/7 crisis response. If you are in immediate danger, please call 911 or Family Abuse Services’ 24/7 Crisis Line at 336-226-5985.
No. You can walk in for services. You can also schedule an appointment if you would prefer.
Parking is available on Martin Street in front of the FJC, or in the parking lot behind it.
Yes, the FJC is on the Purple Route of Link Transit. The closest stop is just down the street at Martin Street @ Graham Hopedale Rd. The regular fare fee is $1 per ride and $4 for a day pass. Discounts are available for military, seniors, students, the disabled, and Medicare card holders.
Yes. We have a specially designed playroom for children.
Services provided at the FJC are free of charge.
Yes. However, when you speak with one of the professional staff, your friend may be asked to wait in the reception area.
No. There are no fees for legal services at the Alamance County Family Justice Center.
Yes. Staff can assist you with filing a civil action to request an order for protection.
