Tours, Community Outreach & Education
Alamance County 911 Communications welcomes opportunities to engage with our community through facility tours, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives. These activities provide residents with a better understanding of our operations, the services we provide, and the important role emergency communications plays in public safety.
Facility Tours
We offer tours of our communications center to provide visitors with an inside look at 911 operations. Tours are available for groups such as the Alamance County Citizen Academy and local school district programs. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities of our telecommunicators, how emergency calls are processed, and how we coordinate with emergency responders.
Community Outreach
We are committed to building strong relationships with local organizations and community partners. Through outreach initiatives, we work to support programs that benefit children, older adults, and underserved members of our community. These partnerships allow us to connect with residents, share valuable resources, and contribute to the overall well-being of Alamance County.
Public Education
Public education is an important part of our commitment to the community. We welcome opportunities to educate residents about when and how to use 911, what to expect when calling for help, and the role of emergency telecommunicators. By increasing public awareness, we hope to promote informed and responsible use of emergency services.
